Eurocup 2001
Horin airfield

To be good prepared for our competition in Zamberk, we took part in Eurocup 2001 as judges.
This international cup attracted a lot of aircombat pilots (not only from Europe) Totally, here came together 26 pilots from Czech republic, Slovakia, Slovenia,Belorussia and also from USA...
Photo of all pilots that took part in Eurocup 2001
Among other fighters was the most impressive Lightning of K. Barak.
It was understandable that some swarf has fallen from the heaven but when Pepa Synac landed with his Thun and on his wing was a screw? I thing that it is quite good luck. By the way, no one has hunt for that one after landing.
Sometimes has the air combats get down nearer to the ground.
Bob Wallace was the furthermost and the oldest pilot of this cup. He is waiting here for other pilots will be prepared for start.
There was still something to see in the air.
For someone, it wasn't enough to cut only one streamer. But their pain was reduction of speed and plane controllability.
And this is the consequence of air combat of Thuna and Ki 61-Hien of Andrej Pervinszek. It has to be added, that on the end of the heat only these two planes remained in the air. Their pilots couldn't only stand and fly around them. This is the end...
This is repaired C3503 Thun able to start in final heat. As you can see, the missing part of the wing was replaced with another one from really another plane and attached a la McGyver
Unfortunately the big favourite of the cup, Bob Wallace, finished his endeavor in final heat when his plane was taken down from the air. Crock up of his Mig-7 completed the view called "second place".

RC Air Combat in Mnichovo Hradiste

There was measured engine speed (rpm) of all "warbirds" before first round. (Fairey Fulmar of Jirka Franz, Pepa Synac assisting)
"Scramble!"
IL 2 take-off.
Another IL 2 in the catapult.
Nice Helicat ended upright in the ground after control failure.
Jaroslav Sladecek seating his Fockewulf to the air.
J. Simunek throwing Me109 of Dan Pek to the air in the final heat.
There was a lot of dramatical situations in the air. Only push the camera trigger in right time was little bit difficult.
"The enemies" ready for the start (Me 109 a IL 10 in background…)
… and one more time IL 10 in detail
And here are the winners -from leftside: Pepa Kobra Synac (3.), Libor Pechan (1.), a Jarda Jerry Forst (2.)
